Primary School Ensemble - New Prizes
Introduced in 2011, this class was extremely successful and thoroughly enjoyed by both the participating children and the audience. It was wonderful to see so many young children on the White Rock stage making music and really enjoying themselves. 2012 proved to be even more successful and we are anticipating even more entries for 2013. This class is obviously so popular with children and audience alike that we can confidently say that is definitely here to stay!
The Hastings Musical Festival is pleased to announce that each Primary School Ensemble performing in class 3900 will receive a donation from the FOSTER CHARITABLE TRUST towards the purchase of musical instruments, music, or the children's travelling expenses.

Instrumental Gold Medal and New Championship Trophy Class
For 2013 we have decided to revert to having individual Gold Medal classes for all the various instrumental sections; the awarding of the Gold Medal will be subject to a mark of 90 being achieved.

Rock Drum Solo Classes.
When entering the Rock Drum Solo classes would you indicate which hand you play the kit with. This can be written in the space provided on the entry form for the class name.
This will ensure we can get the kit set up for you prior to your performance.

From a fairly modest start offering classes in Piano and Strings, the Instrumental Section has, like Topsy, grown and grown until nearly every musical instrument, both conventional and unconventional, is catered for. |
