Age 16-30 years (as at 1st March 2009)
Open to Professionals

The Preliminary Round

2nd & 3rd March 2009
Adjudicators: Murray McLachlan and Richard Evans
Performers will play, as required by the adjudicators’ panel, any movement(s) of the prepared concerto, or any part or parts thereof.
Three finalists will be chosen for the Piano Concerto Finals Concert.
The Concerto to be chosen from the prescribed list printed below:

MOZART	Concerto No.20 in D minor K466
MOZART	Concerto No.27 in Bb major K595
BEETHOVEN	Concerto No.3 in C minor Opus 37
BEETHOVEN	Concerto No.5 in Eb Opus 73
MENDELSSOHN	Concerto No.1 in G minor Opus 25
GRIEG	Concerto in A minor Opus 16
TCHAIKOVSKY	Concerto No.1 in Bb minor Opus 23
RACHMANINOV	Concerto No.3 in D minor Opus 30

Performers will play the Blüthner Grand Piano which has been kindly loaned by
Blüthner Piano Centre, London

Errata

Despite our best efforts, a few minor errors have crept into the printed version of the Syllabus for the 2012 Festival.

Classes 3212 and 3508 (Strings and Woodwind Gold Medal Qualifying Classes) the age limit should be Any Age.
