Primary Schools DayFor some time we, in Hastings and the surrounding area, have benefitted from the excellent group teaching initiative, the WIDER OPPORTUNITIES SCHEME, run by the EAST SUSSEX MUSIC SERVICE. Now, for the very first time, this will be showcased in our 2011 Festival. We are devoting a whole day to Primary School groups playing instruments taken from an extensive list including violin, ukulele, guitar, recorder, clarinet, flute, tenor horn, ocarina, brass and percussion. There is an award for the winning group - THE PRIMARY SCHOOLS CUP, presented by ANN HOHENKERK.We are very excited by this and hope that you will come and support all these enthusiastic under 12s. The Primary Schools Day is Monday, the 14th March, 2011 - do come along - it's not to be missed! |
